What is LAHA?
LAHA stands for Lapeer Area Homeschool Athletes and is an independent christian homeschool sports organization. We offer competitive sports opportunities for area homeschoolers. We are not affiliated with any other programs.
Who can play for LAHA?
Anyone who is homeschooled and under the age of 19 as of Sept. 1 of the upcoming school year.
How long has LAHA been around?
Since 2015! LAHA will begin its 8th season of sports this year. We continue to grow each year with more families joining.
How do I sign up to play a sport?
Register online under each sport's tab on the website. If registrations are open for a specific sport, a link will be available to take you to the registration page. If you cannot find a link, contact us.
How much does it cost to play for LAHA?
Each sport has their own fees based on the number of games and tournaments the team will participate in. It also varies depending on if you play on a younger team (i.e. 12U) compared to an older team (i.e. 18U). The current season fees will be on their sports page on the website.
Do you offer family discounts?
Yes. We never want to turn away any player(s) due to finances. If you have questions regarding the fees, please speak to one of the LAHA Board Members or the Athletic Director.
Are there any fundraising opportunities?
YES! LAHA is always looking and participating in various fundraisers. Our biggest fundraiser is the LAHA 5K Race, which takes place every summer. Some of our players have paid all their sports fees, plus had money to spend at tournaments from this one fundraiser alone.
What is a Family Account?
LAHA offers many fundraising opportunities which puts the money you earned into your own family account. That money can then be used toward your player fees, tournament fees, uniform fees, traveling expenses, etc.
