LAHA MISSION STATEMENT: We will strive to provide excellence in sports as a means to develop Godly character and excellence as individuals and teams as we seek to honor the Lord Jesus Christ.
Foundational Principles: *The Bible is the Word of God without error in the original manuscripts, as such it is authoritative for faith and practice. (2 Tim3:16-17; 2Pet.1:21)
*The God of the Bible is the one true God, eternally and equally existent in three persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (John 10:30, 2Cor.13:14; 1Pet. 1:2)
*Man was created in the image of God. Through man's sin, he was separated from God becoming spiritually dead. He is made spiritually alive and reconciled to God by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Gen.1:26-27;2 Cor 15:22; John3:16; Eph2:1-9)
*Therefore we will strive to follow Christian ideals for our families and athletes as expressed in these few scriptures: Matt 22:36-40: "Teacher, which is the Great commandment in the Law?" and he said to him, "You shall love the Lord Your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the Great and First commandment, And second is like it: You should love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the The Prophets."
Colossians 3:12-15: Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other. As the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And the the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in on body. And be thankful."
